John Walter Brown
July 9, 1922 – December 27, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jack Brown at the age of 96 on December 27, 2018.
Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Maria; his parents, Walter and Agnes; and brother Eric.
He is survived by his daughters Donna (Steve), and Janice (Glenn); grandchildren Craig (Bobbi), Lori (Ben), Geoff and Ben; great grandchildren Noah, Paityn, Brody, and Levi.
Jack was born July 9, 1922 in Chester, England. He came to Canada in 1928, arriving in Saskatchewan then settling in Winnipeg.
While in high school, Jack joined the Royal Canadian Air force in 1942 serving as a bomb aimer flying officer 90 and 186 Squadrons in Tuddenham and Stradishall, England. He was honorably discharged with medals in 1945.
Upon his return from oversees he married Maria on September 8, 1945.
Jack excelled as a salesman in advertising and throughout his career he was employed by Swifts, CKY, CJOB, and Mediacom.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed travelling the world, wood working, curling, baseball, hunting and fishing. He loved to spend his summers at the family cottage at White Lake.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital 4 south for their care and compassion they showed Jack.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
Donations may be made to charity of your choice. Flowers gratefully declined.
