Mr William "Bert" ALbert Luff

It is with deep regret we announce the death of William Albert Luff on December 15, 2018 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 89. He will be sadly missed by his son Glenn (Karen) and his four grandchildren; Brendan, Brad, Shane and Adrienne, and of course all of his family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen Clara Luff (nee Klug) and son Michael. To our family William Albert (Bert) was a wonderful husband of 60 years, father and of course grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends for being well mannered and having a great sense of humor. William had many employment opportunities including being a constable for the West St. Paul police department. Being a true family man this didn’t work out well so he started and ended a 39 year career with the Canadian National Railway. “Well Done Bert!” His retirement seen him summer at the family cottage at Wedigo (Lac Du Bonnet area) and winter traveling around seeing different parts of North America. He also spent countless hours puttering (very mechanical inclined) and wood carving like a master. He loved life and would help anyone, as he has a great big heart. He was a big believer in charitable donation and recently passed on lots of his life savings to the children hospital foundation of Manitoba. Sweetie, Dad and Grampa you will always be in our hearts as we were in yours. Rest in peace as “We Love you” Forever! A public viewing will be held on December 22, 2018 at 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1879 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
