She was a musician and educator, touching the lives and molding the careers of countless people along the way. Susie, as she was known to all, attended the Westminster Choir College as an organ major, and earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees. Her teaching tenure at Campbell University spanned over 50 years. There she taught organ, piano, voice and theory. The music of The Lost Colony was brought to life every performance for more than 20 years with her talent as its organist. As an organist she held many posts at churches in her life. The last one was at the Divine Street Methodist Church in Dunn, N.C., where she played for over ten years. She played organ into her late 80's and enjoyed every minute. She is missed by all of us.
