Mary (nee Dunne) Vierling

One classy Irish lady, Mary Vierling (nee Dunne) has left us after an incredible life of 99 yrs. 10 months. Born in the tenements of Dublin, on September 22, 1919 to Thomas and Anne Dunne. She married a Canadian soldier, Cyril Vierling in Birmingham England in 1943. Mary came to Canada in 1945 as an Irish Warbride with two children; Patricia and Yvonne. Another daughter Rita and son Sean completed her family. Mom left her mark in Moose Jaw, Sk. displaying her amazing talents and always open to exploring new ones. She worked various jobs until she found her dream job working at Valley View Center for the Intellectually challenged in the Occupational Therapy Department. Mom was always there to help anyone in need with kindness and compassion. We all loved our many trips to Shakopee MN where the Vierling and Veiht families lived. Also, Mom made many trips back home to Dublin to be with family. Mom was predeceased by her Father and Mother Thomas and Anne Dunne (Hicks), her bothers Billy and Tony, sister Anne (Nano), her daughter Yvonne, husband Cyril, grandson Tyler, special cousin Neil. Survived by her children: Patricia (Murray), Rita (Colin), Sean (Anni), grandchildren, Jaime (Paul), Tracy, Robert (Chelsea), Katherine (Curtis), Iain and Daniel. Greatgrandchildren: Aaron, Sophia, Jacob, Dylan, Aspen, Calder, Maura and Emily. A funeral mass will be held on August 10, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 1064 3rd Ave. Moose Jaw, SK., with Rev. George Thattuparmpil as officiant. Interment of the ashes will take place at a later date at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin Ireland. Flowers are declined.
