Stephen Joseph Hill

Stephen Joseph Hill, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away November 29, 2019. He was born in Indianapolis the son of the late Bascol and Mary Ernestine (Mattingly) Hill. He was a retired IFD Firefighter retiring March 1, 2005 at IFD Station 10. He was an avid golfer, loved to gamble, played semi-pro football in Indianapolis and was a huge fan of any activities his grandchildren were involved in. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William "Billy" Michael Hill, sisters, Rita Carol Krug and Rosemarie Kief; and his brother, William Hill. Stephen is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Donlan Hill; his children, Stephen C. Hill, Karen Hill and Kathleen M. McKee and her husband Ross; 7 grandchildren, Mary and her husband Kevin, Chad, Alianah, Grant, Millie, Sully and J.R. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN., and from 10:00 a.m. until Mass at the church on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church,7243 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery following Mass.
