James Trent Conry

James Trent Conry was born in Harlingen, Texas August 22, 1961 and died in his home in Washington, DC December 26, 2019 after a long battle with his health. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Hanife and their children: daughter Enise, and sons William and Michael. He is also survived by his parents Jean and Mike Conry, his sister Jody, and her husband Scott Halso, his brother Kyle Conry, and his wife Debbie, and his aunts Julia Queen and Joyce Klutzz. Trent’s family was military and they lived all over the USA and in Europe. Trent developed a love of cooking and a sophisticated palate from his many travels. He was especially knowledgeable n French cuisine, after having worked in many fine dining restaurants in Washington, DC and abroad. He started out as a dishwasher and ended up an executive chef. Most recently, he was the executive chef at Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro. His other accomplishments; among many, was as a corporate supervisor for a group of restaurants for Knightsbridge Inc. Trent loved the game of golf. He played and won tournaments with his father and, son Michael. He also loved playing billiards, and rose to tournament level, most recently. Trent loved animals and was always welcomed with several minutes of joyful jumping and hugging by the family dog. He will continue to be loved by his family and will be missed more than he ever knew.
