Pam (Marden) Ramberg, loving mother, friend, and partner found eternal peace on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 77. She is survived by her children, Eric Ramberg and Leah Ramberg Middleton, daughter-in-law Belinda Ramberg, son-in-law Johnathan Middleton, grandchildren Madeleine and Jacob Ramberg, long-time life partner Andrew Normand, and father of her children Steve Ramberg. Pam was a native of Waltham, Massachusetts and the only child of Chester and Louise (Hatch) Marden. As a child she dreamed of being a nurse. While her career took a different path, her kindness and compassion toward others shown throughout her life. She was a living testament to her Unitarian faith. She left Massachusetts to raise her young family in Alexandria, Virginia where she developed lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply. Many of her conversations were about lunch with the girls or catching up with old friends. She remained in Northern Virginia until her passing, yet her life always reflected her deep New England roots. Pam was first and foremost a devoted mother. She cherished this role, giving her children a lifetime of unconditional love and support while instilling in them her strong, resilient, and independent spirit. She unabashedly lived the “cliché” of her children being her greatest pride and joy. Warm memories of holiday gatherings, trips to the beach and stories about wine making adventures will remain with us forever. She enjoyed traveling the world and felt most at peace when she was relaxing by the water or collecting seashells on the beach. There was always a crossword in progress and herbs growing in her meticulously kept garden. She was an avid reader, book club member, and Friend of the Lorton Library. After a long career in the healthcare industry, she continued to be active in the community as a volunteer at Mount Vernon Hospital and president of her community’s HOA. She found great joy in being of service to others. Her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched will miss her beyond measure. Her gentle spirit and beautiful smile will be with us always. Friends are invited to say goodbye to Pam and celebrate her life at Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday May 21, 2021 from 2 to 5 p.m. The family will have a private ceremony at the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, Massachusetts where she will be reunited with her parents.
