Marilyn Ellett

Marilyn Ellett, 82, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She was born on June 7, 1935 in Providence, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Edwards) Mitchel. She worked as a retail manager in many high end women’s fashion clothing stores. She was a volunteer at a number of places while living in Hot Springs, Arkansas and served as a docent while in Madison, Indiana. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, cooking, and bird watching. Surviving family include her daughters, Melissa Thomson, Holly Dool, Maria Rittenhouse; step-children, John Ellett, Jr., Tony Ellett, Jean Voisard ; grandchildren, Michalea, Nilson, Nathan, Bryce, Shay; step-grandchildren, Joey, Johnny, Austin, Kendall, Carter, Jesse, Amber, Connely; great grandchildren, Penelope and Veda; numerous step-great grandchildren; and a brother, David Mitchel. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her son, John Clark and a granddaughter, Christina. Private family services will be held at a later date. Greenlawn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne is handling arrangements.
