Gerri Gilbert

Geraldine "Gerri" (Hutchinson) Gilbert, 72, of Kokomo, passed away August 13, 2019. She was born July 14, 1947 In Kokomo, IN to Herbert & Cleestah Hutchinson. She was a drum majorette at KHS, graduating in 1965. She worked at Delco for 31 years. She found and married the love of her life in 1981. Together, she and Clarence enjoyed life at their lake place, spending time with family and friends. They loved going to auctions and buying and selling antiques. Gerri was a gifted painter of ceramics and holiday decorating. When she loved, she loved deeply, never missing a chance to send a card for birthdays and celebrations. Gerri is survived by her beloved husband, "Mr. C"; 5 children, Kelly, Brett, Brian, Albert, and Kim; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Delora Smith; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gerri was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Hutchinson. Family will receive friends Monday, August 19 from 3-7pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Services will be Tuesday, August 20 at 1pm, also at Sunset Memory Garden.
