Angela “Boo Boo” Huggard, 32, of Highland Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Huggard; brother, Joseph Huggard; paternal grandparents, Oma & Gus Gustavason; maternal grandfather, Sydnor Williams; cousin, Shelly Sink; and service dog, Harley. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Janice M. Huggard; brother, Michael W. Durie; maternal grandmother, Lolly Williams; nephew, Matthew Durie; aunts, Brenda Bracken (Steve), Judy Heskett (Larry), and Betty Barton; cousins, Julie, Mandy, Robin, Lisa, Bubba, and Jerry; dog, Hero; as well as numerous extended family members in Oklahoma. Angela was a huge fan of music and enjoyed watching music videos. Some of her favorite bands and musicians were Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Michael Jackson. Angela also enjoyed going out and visiting with family and friends and she especially loved going to eat at Cracker Barrel. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many doctors and caregivers who have loved and cared for Angela over the years: Dr. Sandra Boisseau, Dr. Ted Williams, St. Mary’s Hospital – Angio Department and CCU, all of the staff with MCV House Calls, Alice Ampond, Dennis Lee, Berta Lee, and Vicky; as well as the close friends who have stepped up to care for her: Bobby Howell and Kelly Irby. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rettsyndrome.org.
