John William Lampkins

John William Lampkins, 34, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Monday, June 4, 2018. John lived a full life. He spent his childhood enjoying the east coast, living in Maryland and Virginia. Joining the U.S. Army in 2004 broadened his horizons, exploring the United States and foreign countries. The soldier in him thrived while on deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2011, John decided to be a U.S. Army Reservist—serving his country and furthering his career as a Government contractor. John’s family life and social circle held great importance to him. He adored his daughter, Lauren (age 6), and he shared a beautiful love with his wife Julie. He has joined his mother, Mary Lampkins; his maternal grandfather, Robert DeLaVerne; and his paternal grandparents, John and June Lampkins in Heaven’s paradise. His memory will be cherished by his father William Lampkins; his brother, Jim Lampkins (wife Bell, son Ace); his in-laws; and a host of relatives and friends. A gathering to celebrate John’s memory will be held from 6:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. In lieu of flowers, please wear happy colors and bring a card with a fond memory or story of John to share with his wife, Julie and daughter, Lauren.
