 Obituario de Gustavo Leonard "Gus" Riccioni Jr.
Gustavo Leonard “Gus” Riccioni, Jr., 75 of Brownsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1942 in Raritan, NJ a son of the late Gustavo Riccioni, Sr. and Rose (Lamastro) Riccioni. Gus was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Gus was a pioneer in the vacuum truck industry starting in the late 1960’s in Raritan/Flemington, NJ. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved animals and also loved to shoot the varmints. He was a very enthusiastic farmer and thoroughly enjoyed agriculture. He raised beef cattle and grain crops in the Rockbridge/Augusta area for the past 20 years. Gus and Val were married for 57 glorious years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gustavo Daniel Riccioni, III. Survivors include his wife, Valerie Ann (Glynn) Riccioni; children, David Riccioni, Robert Riccioni, Brian Riccioni, Beth Kopp, Danielle Coppola, Jonathan Riccioni, Michael Riccioni, Mary Repair and Victoria Riccioni; sibling, Aldo Riccioni; 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his 10 children, numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Gus was a best friend and a fatherly figure to many others. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9am on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, 118 N. New St., Staunton, with Father Joseph Wamala officiating. Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W.
