Catherine "Kitty" R. (Rosenkranz) Tenney

Catherine R. “Kitty” (Rosenkrans) Tenney, 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at home. She was born June 29, 1928 in Evansville, IN to the late Jacob and Rose (Memmer) Rosenkrans. Catherine retired from Memorial High School where she was a cafeteria worker. She was a charter member of Nativity Catholic Church and always prayed the rosary for others. Catherine was an avid reader and loved doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed camping with her family throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy Tenney Sr. in 2017; her siblings; and son-in-law, Robert Beasley. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Tonya Beasley, Henderson, KY and Jennifer Cooper, Evansville, IN; sons, Roy Tenney Jr. (Debbie), St. Phillips, IN and Michael Tenney, Evansville, IN; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Michelle and Tracie, who were her angels, for all of their love and care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday May 10, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
