Charles Kenneth Giffin, 93, of Harrisonburg passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at his home.
Charles proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from Dulles Airport as firefighter after 25 years of service. Charles loved traveling and working in his yard. He was extremely creative, often making birdhouses, and was a gifted painter.
In addition to his parents, Sam and Octavie (Lafollette) Giffin, Charles was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Peggy Ann Schafer.
Surviving is his loving wife of 72 years, Betty Lee Giffin; his daughter, Patsy Lee Waddell (Wayne); six grandchildren, Aimee Marie Scott (Benny Jr.), Charlton “Tony” Kenneth Crider (Sarah); Constance “Tweety” Louise Crider, Angeline Lee Cain (Donnie), John Schafer, and Chris Schafer (Lisa); eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no public services. Lindsey Funeral Home of Harrisonburg are handling the arrangements.
