Garry Dale Richman

Garry Dale Richman, 81, of Muncie, passed away at home on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born on Monday, April 29, 1940, the son of Ethridge Richman and Elma (Lyons) Richman. He married Dorthy B. Robertson on September 5, 1981, in Jamestown, Tennessee, and they shared thirty nine years together. Garry worked for Marhoefer Packing Company nearly twenty years, until the plant closed. He then worked for Ball State University as a custodian for many years. While raising children, Garry was always supportive and enjoyed playing with the kids in the yard. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren when they came along. He enjoyed furniture shopping and shopping for other things as well. Garry and Dorthy loved to travel to visit family. They traveled from one end of the United States to the other. He will be deeply missed. Garry is survived by his loving wife, Dorthy; daughter, Donita (Dicky) Moore; sons, Gary Dean (Crystal) Richman, and Randall (Bonita) Richman; step-son, Brian Beaty; brother, Robert (Joyce) Richman; grandchildren, Chelsea (Andrew) Wentworth, Tanner (Melissa) Richman, Tyler Richman, Kylie Richman, Lindsay (Ralph) Cincush, Austin Moore, Angel Beaty, Miranda (Lee) Barfoot, Josh Richman, RJ Strife, Michael Rodimon, and Jonathan Rodimon; great-grandchildren, Caiden Richman, Logan Richman, Madison Ann Richman, Luke Wentworth, and Landon Wentworth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethridge and Elma Richman; a step-son, Russell Beaty; a brother, Noah Richman; and a sister, Alice Smith. Services will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Chapel. Rusty Clements will officiate. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required as well as social distancing. Memorial contributions may be given to donor’s charity of choice.
