Obituary of Daniel Raymond Sprouse
Daniel Raymond Sprouse, 59, of Rustburg, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, after an extended illness. For forty years, he was the devoted husband of Katherine Stinnette Sprouse. Born February 11, 1962 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Walter Gerald Collie and Marjorie Nickerson Martin. He was a retired Foreman with Magic City Sprinkler with thirty years of service and was an avid softball player. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer S. Pannell and husband Chris of Concord; his son, Daniel Jason Sprouse of Rustburg; three brothers, Warren “Sam” Sprouse and James Martin and wife Eva, all of Madison Heights, and Curtis Nickerson of Lynchburg; two sisters, Regina Wright of Lynchburg and Debbie Collie of Harrisonburg; two special brothers-in-law, Michael and James Stinnette; a special cousin, Jane Sowers and three grandchildren, Easton, Carson, and Josie Pannell, who he loved very much. A funeral service to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
