Mildred I. Maynard

Mildred I. Maynard, 86 of Fowlerton, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her residence. Mildred had worked at Midwest Foods for over 10 years and General Components located in Matthews, and had most recently worked at Lamont Nursing Home in Michigan, where she retired in 2004. She loved caring for rescued animals. Mildred was born on January 6, 1935 in Grant, Michigan, the daughter of the late Leon J. and Elizabeth I. (Raison) Biteley. She was united in marriage to Lotton Maynard on March 31, 1962 in Valdosta, Georgia. Lotton survives. Additional survivors include two daughters: Karol Teegardin and Lorrie Lewis, both of Fowlerton; a sister: Patricia J. Good of Muskegon, MI; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Leon Biteley, Charles Biteley and Edward Biteley and a grandson, Christopher Clift. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the daughters’ residence, 211 S Franklin St, Fowlerton, IN. Memorial donations can be made out to the American Heart Association in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
