Nola F. Osmon

Nola F. Osmon, 80 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Roanoke passed away on August 3, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. Nola was a 1959 graduate of Roanoke High School. She had worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne for 35 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 160 in Roanoke. Nola loved to sing karaoke, bowling, crochet, reading, watching her grandchildren and playing games on her phone. She was born on March 17, 1941 in Roanoke, Indiana, the daughter of the late Noel and Lily (Mendenhall) Reed. She was united in marriage to Robert Osmon in Roanoke. Robert preceded her in death on May 29, 1994. Survivors include a son: Roger (Cindy) Snyder of Fort Wayne; a daughter: Beth (Roger) Weirauch of Huntington; a brother: Charles “Butch” Reed of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Anita Cress; a grandson: Justin Shake; a great granddaughter; two brothers: Noel Reed, Jr. and Lawrence “Corky” Reed. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke. Memorial donations can be made out to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
