George "Tripp" Lynwood Craig III

George Lynwood Craig, lll. (Tripp), 55, of Amherst passed away unexpectly Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at his residence. Born in Lynchburg on March 28, 1966 he was a son of Ellen Ogden Craig and the late George Lynwood Craig, Jr. George attended Amherst County Schools and graduated from Amherst County High School class of 1985. He was a devoted employee of Foster Electric Company for 21 years. He was a member of Clifford Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his church family. He was also an avid hunter and living in the country gave him the opportunity to enjoy the serenity of nature. In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter, Emily Craig Webster and her husband Chris of Amherst and an unborn grandchild; and a half-sister, Lynn Lee Craig of Georgia. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Fort Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to Clifford Baptist Church.
