Carol Harowitz Miller

Carol Harowitz Miller, 64, died Friday, February 22, 2013 in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin W. Harowitz Jr. and Dorothy Winer Harowitz. She was a dearly loved wife, mother and small business owner. A true entrepreneur and a lover of quilting, she was the founder of Quilt University, a successful international educational website. Since 2000, 100,000 students have participated in 3,000 classes. Carol is survived by her wonderful husband and business partner of 42 years, Roger Miller; and loving family: daughter, Jennifer Miller; son, Eric Miller and girlfriend, An Pham; sisters, Sherry Harowitz and Mickey Peters; brother-in-law, Jack Peters; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229.
