Penny Lee Stanley

Penny Lee Stanley, 54, of Nathalie, VA was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 10, 2019. Born on September 25, 1964 in South Boston, VA, Penny was the daughter of Martha Wilson Stanley and the late Carroll Judson Stanley. Penny loved hunting, fishing, working on cars, country music, dancing and living life on her own terms. She loved butterflies, horses, cowboy hats and boots, turquoise jewelry, and purple was her favorite color. She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her father, Penny is preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Angela Marie Brown. Penny is survived by her mother, Martha Stanley; 4 children, Jessica Fleshman (Jeremy), Kelly Overstreet (Randy), Kenneth Brown, Wilson Smith and step-daughter Rachel Elder; 9 grandchildren, Gabriel Fleshman, Angela Fleshman, Cameron Fleshman, Jason Brown, Carson Overstreet, Gabe Overstreet, Nadia Haley, Natasha Haley and Natalia Haley; 2 sisters, Jane Hill and Debbie Waire (Bob); 3 nephews and 1 niece, Michael Hill, Benjamin Hill, Christopher Tidwell and Michelle Waire; beloved extended family and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Whitten Park Ave. Chapel in Lynchburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family for funeral expenses.
