Doris Marie (Litts) Dury

Doris Marie Dury passed away on December 23, 2020, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was the daughter of Frank and Cora Litts, of Newton, New Jersey and wife of Larry Dury. Doris was a sister to many brothers and sisters; all who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Bill Dury and his wife, Lora; her granddaughter Lindsay Combs and her husband Matt, her great daughter’s Makenna Crookshanks and Ava Combs; all of Mount Sidney, a special niece Sandy Lyons and her husband Joe; of Weyers Cave and many other nieces and nephews residing across the country. Doris’ hometown was Newton, New Jersey, then lived in Orlando, Florida for many years until moving to Weyers Cave, VA, to be with family. The last years of her life, she resided at Brightview Senior Living, Staunton. Doris enjoyed a long culinary career and retired from Walt Disney World. Funeral Services are being conducted by Lindsey Funeral Home, Weyers Cave. In keeping with Covid precautions there will be no memorial service or family reception. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020.
