IRENE L. (COYNE) GERIG, 52, of Wood-burn, died on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at her residence. Born in Decatur, a 1975 graduate of Crestview High School, she wor-ked at Zollner Pistons (later KUS), UAW Local 2357 as a financial secretary and also B.F. Goodrich. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was instrumental in establishing the Peanut Brittle Fund Raising Drive. She was also active in participating in the Paulding County Relay For Life cancer fund raisers for Taylor Made Systems. She is survived by her husband, Randy J. Gerig; sons, Shawn (Angie) Bradtmueller and Sgt. Shane Bradtmueller; stepchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Gerig, Amy (Skip) Shand and Christine (Aaron) Abbott; nine grandchildren; parents, Richard C. Coyne (the late Evelyn R. Coyne) of Convoy, Ohio; siblings, Marilyn (Steven) Reno, Linda (Joe) Converset, Wayne Coyne, Michael Coyne, Stephen (Amy) Coyne, Pamela (John) Summers, Yvonne (Ron) Bidlack, Charles (Donna) Coyne, Bryan (Brandi) Coyne and Eric (Brandy) Coyne; and numerous nieces and nephews. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, 7616 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, with calling one hour prior at the church. Calling also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hock-emeyer Funeral Home, 17629 St. Road 37, Harlan. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials to cancer funds at Cleveland Clinic Foundation or Paulding County Relay For Life .
