Marilyn Hunter Brooks

Marilyn Brooks, 80, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Brooks. She was a dedicated Christian and active in her churches including, Christ Episcopal Church, New Market United Methodist Church, and Georgia Avenue Christian Church. Marilyn is survived by her children, Dawn Brooks, Leslie Beck-Long (Ray, Jr.), and Richard Brooks (Barbara); brother, Ron Hunter as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at New Market United Methodist Church, 5501 Old New Market Road, New Market, MD 21774 and at 10:00 a.m. on June 4, 2018 at Christ Church Episcopal-Richmond, 5000 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059.
