Kenneth Delano Meece

Kenneth Delano Meece, age 71, of Collinsville, died Monday, December 3, 2018, in Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. Born December 23, 1946, in Herrin, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Kenneth Meece and Dorothy Elam Meece. Also preceding him in death was his sister Pam Peters and brother Tommy Meece. Kenny was a retired Industrial Sales Representative and he was a faithful and very active member of The Church at Mercy Crossing. He had an avid love for his Lord and Savior, his family, his church family and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Akers Meece, his son, Andy Meece and his wife Wendy, his grandchildren Jamin and Andelynn Meece, sisters Candy Hintz (Wayne), Carolyn Stokes (Don), Cindy Baswell (Bill), Debby Meece (Rob), brothers Terry Meece (Debbie), Kenny Meece, Steve Arnold and brother-in-law Pete Peters. A Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 16th, at Mercy Crossing, with Pastor Tim Nuckels and Pastor Jackie Poe officiating with a eulogy by son, Andy Meece. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Mercy Students, 1978 Joseph Martin Hwy., Martinsville, VA 24112.
