Joyce E. Beckman

Joyce E. Beckman 78, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012. She was born June 24, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Arthur and Evelyn Treeter. Joyce worked at Wonder Bread for 23 years until retiring in 1995. Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, member of Tallwood Chapel, and an avid animal lover. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Rick) Browning; devoted friend, Carl Lindstrom; brother, David Friedman; nieces, Donna, Joanie, Dawn, Dana, and Diane; and nephews, Jimmy, Rob, and Mike. Her husband, Charles Beckman, and sister, Anna Haskell, preceded her in death. The funeral will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel, where visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the funeral.
