Obituary of Victor Roy Thomas
Victor Roy Thomas 82, a resident of the Masonic Home in Franklin, IN, died July 26, 2013. Mr. Thomas was born January 9, 1931 in Evansville, IN to the late Oscar and Dorothy Thomas. He graduated from Spurgeon High School and took some electronic courses from Purdue University. Victor served in Japan during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked for DT DeHart and Premier Porcelain, Inc. Victor was a member of the Millersville Masonic Lodge 126 since 1954 and advanced to the rank of 32nd degree mason. He was also a member of Spurgeon Christian Church and the Southside Computer club. He was an avid HAM radio operator and other hobbies included electronics, computers, hunting and gardening. Mr. Thomas is survived by brothers, Robert (Deloris) Thomas and David (Karen) Thomas; nieces, Donna (Chad) Weisman (and their son, Jake Weisman), Amanda Chambers and Erin Smith; and lifelong friend, Harold (Judy) Roy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Thomas, and sisters, Martha Thomas and Mary Uhse. Rev. Charles Stanley, Chaplain from the Indiana Masonic Home, will officiate the funeral service on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel, with visitation there from 2:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service.
