OBITUARY
Brenda S. Hostetler Morris
December 21, 1947 – July 20, 2013
Brenda S. Morris, age 65, of Bloomington, died Saturday morning at her residence. Born December 21, 1947 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Cain) Hostetler. She retired from Indiana University and had formerly worked at Cook, Inc. She loved working with her flowers, shopping and spending as much time as she could enjoying her grandchildren.
She is survived by her life partner, Jeff Owen, of Bloomington; her four children, Devin (Amy) McKamey, of Bedford, Jeffrey McKamey, of Bloomington, Melissa (Jason) Williams, of Ellettsville, and Ricky Morris III (Michelle Yeger), of Bloomington, nine grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren one great-grandchild and one great-grandchild on the way, one brother-in-law, Glen Workman; two nephews and their families, Steve Hostetler and Brian Workman and one niece and her family, Michelle Neeley,. She is also survived by her miniature pekingese, “Buggie”. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jerry Hostetler and one sister, Kathy Workman.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. William Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Burgoon Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure or to the American Cancer Society.
