Mickey David Smith

Mickey David Smith 52, died unexpectedly in his home in Bloomington on June 23, 2018. He was born on July 20, 1965 in Bloomington to Marshall and Kay Love Smith. Mickey worked for Tri-Co as a surveyor’s assistant for many years, traveling to different parts of the United States for the company. He also enjoyed working on cars as a hobby. Mickey is survived by his parents Marshall and Kay, his two sons, David and Daniel Smith, his sister Korki(Mike)Tharp, his nephew Ryan(Rebecca)Tharp, his niece Rachael(Austin)Vickrey, two great nephews, Arlo Vickrey and Aiden Tharp and two great nieces, Arissa North and Penny Vickrey and David and Daniel’s mother, Khrissy Smith. He is also survived by his special friend Bessie Lyon Rush. He was preceded in death by his brother Marty Smith in 2016. Friends may call on the family June 28, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, Indiana 47404. The funeral for Mickey will be held in the funeral home on June 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Ron Sutherlin officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington.
