Patricia Joe Garland

Patricia Joe Shelton Garland, 85, of Bloomington died Monday, April 30, 2018 in I.U. Health Hospice House. She was born July 7, 1932 in Paoli, Indiana to Samuel Shelton and Minnie Love Shelton. She was retired from RCA in 1987. On May 27, 1950, she was married to Jack C. Garland, Jr., and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2009. Survivors include three daughters; Carla (husband Jim) Kleindorfer of Nashville, Beverly Flick of Bloomington and Teresa (husband Danny) Blevins of Bloomington, 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents; 9 siblings; and 3 children. Patricia was a member of the Moose Lodge # 1081and the VFW Auxiliary. After her retirement from RCA she and Jack moved to Port Charlotte, Florida until 2006, and then they returned to Bloomington. A Private Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery. Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
