Obituary of Harold Joseph "Tim" Rolph Jr.

Harold J. "Tim" Rolph Jr., 79, of Columbus, died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Rolph had worked for Teledyne Post as a manager of engineering supply sales, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council and Assembly, the Moose Lodge, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Clem Davis at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street. In keeping with Tim’s wishes, cremation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.myers-reed.com. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 17, 1933, Mr. Rolph was the son of Harold Joseph and Claire Jean Mueller Rolph. He grew up in the Ironton area and had attended Ohio University. He married Phyllis Ann Kavanagh (spelling is correct) May 19, 1956, in Ironton, Ohio. She preceded him in death May 30, 2001. He is survived by sons, Mark Rolph of Columbus and Greg Rolph of Miami, FL; a daughter, Lisa Rolph of Columbus; and a grandson, Eric (Debbie) Rolph of El Paso, TX.
