Obituary of Lee Ann Frodge

Lee Ann Frodge, 86, of Columbus, died at 5:35 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Lee Ann retired from COSCO in 1992 after 23 years of service. She was a 55-year member of Columbus Moose Family Center where she had been very active. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Scott Hyden officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday. There will be a Women of the Moose memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Westport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Women of the Moose Endowment Fund or the children at Mooseheart. Online condolences may be sent to Lee Ann’s family at www.myers-reed.com. Born in Albany, Ky., Jan. 29, 1928, Lee Ann was the daughter of Irvin and Matilda Farr Flowers. She married Carlos L. "Carl" Frodge Aug. 27. 1971, in Columbus. Survivors include her husband; children, James Edward “J.E.” (Eva) Bullock of Burkesville, Kentucky, Patricia Scroghan, Kay (Darin) Padget, Vickie (Kenneth) Scroghan and Jeffrey Allen (Merna) Whittington, all of Columbus; stepchildren, Debra Kay (Rev. Scott) Hyden of Augusta, KY, Sandra Faye (John) Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Tina May Vasquez, Carla Gaye (David) Haines, and Sheila Ray (Doug) Chappel, all of Anderson, and Lora Jay (Jim) Frodge of Taylorsville; and several grandchildren, stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Bashie Flowers; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Sue and Anthony Pecorino; brother, Johnny Flowers; and a half sister, Sharron Henderson.
