Robert Earl Aldridge

Robert E. Aldridge, 77, of Columbus, died Monday, July 2, 2018 at IU Health, Methodist Hospital. Mr. Aldridge was a proud 20 year veteran of the US Air Force fighting the good fight. He was also employed by Cummins for 30 years. Robert was a Christian and enjoyed praying. He was a Past Master of St. Johns Lodge #20, F& AM. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and NASCAR. Robert always tried to put a smile on everyone’s face, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his wives, Anna Faye Douglas, Helena Goldsmith and Barbara Aldridge; son, Terry McMillan; sisters, Polly Ann Spaulding, Mary Calabrese, Kathy Smith and Donna Pulluam; and brothers, Donald and Tommy Joe Aldridge. Surviving are his loving children, Delilah Clement of Concord, NC, Robert D. (Kim) Aldridge of Columbus, Jeff Aldridge, Shannon Aldridge, Donna Jones of Elizabethtown, Marsha (Robert) Kritzberger of Columbus and Randall McMillan of Columbus; sister, Ethel Jeffries of Columbus; and brothers, Rick Aldridge of Trenton, NJ and Ron Aldridge of IN. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Myers-Reed Chapel. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
