Byron Bacon

Byron G. Bacon, 80, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at his home surrounded by family. He was born July 11, 1930, in Evansville.
He was a US Air Force Veteran, property purchaser for Indiana Toll Road and a salesman for Faultless Caster. He was a member of the DAV, Funkhouser American Legion, Lessing Lodge, Scottish Rite, Kennel Club and Ducks Unlimited. He was a Christian and a man of strong faith. He volunteered with Dr. Ray Nicholson in his work with MS Patients.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Glenn and Ruby Alice (Boyle) Bacon; and grandparents, Harry E. and Jeanette Boyle and David and Myrtle Bacon.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Bacon of Evansville; daughter, Kathleen (Bacon) Clark and son-in-law, Roger Clark of Newburgh; brother, Roger A. Bacon; Tari Beth Langford of Evansville; niece, Jackie O’Donald-Merk and her husband, Phillip Merk; sister-in-law, Kathleen O’Donald-Owen and her husband, Murrell Owen; and nephew, Frank W. O’Donald, all of Indianapolis, IN.
Private services will be held. Friends may visit Monday, September 13, 2010, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Mary's Home Health Care and Heritage Hospice for their care of Byron.
