Casel V. Bush, 92, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Cypress Grove. He was born July 17, 1920, in Oakland City, IN to the late Lloyd and Nora (Rumble) Bush.
He graduated from Newburgh High School in 1938 and served in the US Army from 1943-1946. He retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed woodworking and reading and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Casel is survived by his wife of 42 years, Evelyn M. (Ellis) Bush; daughter, Diana Bush-Osborne of Florida; grandsons, Troy and TJ (Dawn) Stewart, both of Arkansas; sisters, Maxine Richardson of Evansville and Jean (Doyne) Ford of Princeton; nephews, Larry (Kathy) Richardson of Evansville and Michael (Jessie) Richardson of New Jersey; nieces, Jennifer Thacker, Kimberly Kolhmeier, both of Oakland City, and Sharon “Sam” (Steve) Luzader of Newburgh; step-daughter, Brenda Allen of Evansville; step-granddaughter, Robin Allen of Evansville; step-great-granddaughter, Brianna Nicole Allen; step-grandson, William “Billy” Davis of Kentucky; and life-long friend, Eric Schwenker of Evansville.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military services at the cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
