Edna Lucille “Lou” Deason, 85, of Evansville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 4, 2012. She was born on August 31, 1927 in White County, IL.
Before her illness she attended Cypress Baptist Church.
Lou was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a meticulous homemaker and very talented seamstress and cook. She was a very unselfish and giving person blessing many people in many different ways.
She was a member of VFW Post 2953 Women’s Auxiliary.
Special thanks to the Golden Living Woodlands Center, AseraCare Hospice, Staff of Dr. Jerry Best, and Ohio Valley Heart Care for their care and kindness.
Preceding and meeting her at the Pearly Gates were parents, James and Elizabeth Hutchcraft; sister, Berneice Wilson; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.
Lou is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ray Deason; daughter, Rita Y. Williams (Gary); grandson, Jason L. Williams (Megan), expecting great-grandbaby arriving May 2013; brothers, Alfred Hutchcraft and James E. Hutchcraft (Kathy); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; loving friends, Don and Wilda Weaver.
Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bradley Gray with interment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
