Kenneth W. Irvin

Kenneth W. Irvin, 93, of Odon, IN, formerly of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Parkview Village Christian Care in Odon. He was born December 17, 1919, in Montpeliar, IN to the late John Allen and Hazel (McClure) Irvin. He graduated from Bosse High School and Lockyear’s Business College. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Marathon Oil after 34 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, Usher and Food Pantry Coordinator for over 30 years. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Ruth Irvin. He is survived by his son, Gary Irvin and wife, Lois, of Fischers, IN; daughter, Debbie Higgins and husband, Joe, of Odon, IN; five grandchildren, Chad Higgins and wife, Jennifer, Lance Higgins, Brock Higgins and wife, Lacey, Derek Irvin and wife, Missy, and Josh Irvin and wife, Laura; great-grandchildren, Brant and Adria Higgins, Cooper, William and Drew Higgins, Bronson Higgins, Nick, Isaac and Amelia Irvin, and Landon and Logan Irvin; and great-great-grandchild, Hunter Irvin. Private graveside services will be held Monday, February 18, 2013, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Owensboro, KY, officiated by Pastor Derek Irvin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkview Village Christian Care Activity Fund, 800 South West Street, Odon, IN 47562.
