Lloyd F. Adcock, 81, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Good Samaritan Home. He was born October 20, 1931, in Evansville, to the late Taylor and Rosie (Gray) Adcock.
He was a member of the US Air Force from 1951 through 1955 and served in the Korean War. He retired from Whirlpool after 28 years of service. He was a member of the YMCA, where he enjoyed playing basketball, especially the Senior Games, and spending time with friends. He also loved playing golf.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Major) Adcock; daughter, Karen (Jim) Stahl of Berwyn, PA; sons, Mark (Jodi) Adcock, Brent (April) Adcock of Charlotte, NC and Brian (Christie) Adcock; sister, Marilyn (Jerry) Pike of Leland, NC; brothers, Gilbert (Jean) Adcock of Patoka, IN and Gene (Sheila) Adcock; and grandchildren, Emily Brune, Ashley McMackin, Heather Stahl, Lauren, Jon and Lindsey Adcock, Tara Lively and Brayden, Kyler, Cameron and Caleb Adcock, and one on the way.
Private Services will be held.
