Margaret "Peggy" Stallings

Margaret “Peggy” Stallings, 68, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born March 10, 1950 in Kankakee, IL to the late George and Doris (Wherry) Miller. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She loved following and supporting her daughters’ horseback riding careers and was beloved by many in the American Saddlebred world. Peggy, lovingly known as “Granny,”adored her three grandchildren and followed their interests and activities with passion. She attended many dance recitals and drill team fundraisers (even jumping in to volunteer), Eagle Scout ceremony, band concerts and even became an Alabama fan when her granddaughter enrolled there last fall. Peggy was preceded in death by husband, Kirby Kiltz in 1970. She is survived by sister, Jone Maier (Paul); children, Betsy Welp (Corey) of Dallas, TX and Elizabeth Stallings of Estero, FL; grandchildren, Meghan, Jack and Lauren Welp of Dallas, TX, and nephews and nieces, Paul Maier (Jackie) of Mt. Vernon, IN, Jacob Maier (Alicia) of Poseyville, Emily Stevens (Brian) of Haubstadt, Anne Scherer (Ryan) of Haubstadt and Molly Maier of Indianapolis. A Funeral Service will be 1:30PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Reverend Kevin Scott Fleming, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit on Friday from 11:30AM to service time at the funeral home.
