Glenn Wood
April 3, 1943 – April 23, 2018

Glenn Wood, 75, of Newburgh, IN, passed away April 23, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1943 in Henderson, KY, to the late Annie Laura (Newman) and Marvin W. Wood.
Glenn was a proud Kentuckian and loved the UK Wildcats. He enjoyed fishing, golf, working on the yard, gardening, he was a deal hunter and loved garage sales and thrift shops. Glenn was a very loyal and generous family member and friend. He loved to tell jokes and “long stories made short”. Glenn was a 43 year member of Methodist Temple. He served on the Temple Hills Board, ushered, and was part of a men’s bible study group. Glenn adored his grandkids and great granddaughter. He loved eating ice cream with the grandkids, and making them homemade biscuits.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Kay (Lenahan) Wood; daughters, Lori (Wood) Thomason, Jamie (Wood) Smith (Josh); son, Andy Wood (Barb); grandchildren, Ryan Thomason, Ashlee Zimmerman, Gabe, Drew, Ian, and Cora Wood, Kaleb and Kathryn Smith; great granddaughter, Adaline Thomason.
The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Stephens and Dr. Bradley Scheu for their wonderful care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Methodist Temple, 2109 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Andy Payton, with burial in Methodist Temple Columbarium. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and from 10:00 AM until service time at the Church on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club of Evansville.
