Helen Schriner Gehr

Helen Schriner Gehr passed peacefully on January 8, 2019. She was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and moved to Northern Virginia with her husband in 1955.
Helen was a recognized porcelain artist, teacher, member of the World Organization of China Painters, and past president of the Virginia chapter. She was very active in her church, church choir, and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Helen’s foremost joy in life was her family; she was a loving wife, mother, and Nana.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years Thomas L. Gehr, her parents Mabel and Rollyn Schriner, and sister Mary (Schriner) Wheeland. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Linda, son Richard and his wife Delores, grandsons Ryan, Bradley and Kevin, her brothers Howard Schriner, Paul Schriner both of Williamsport, sister Beverly (Schriner) Blanke of Aiken SC along with many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 18th at United Baptist Church of Annandale, 7100 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 19 at East End Baptist Church, 801 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA. Final resting place will be at Stoltz Cemetery, Cogan Station, PA.
