Donald Thomas Adams

Donald T. Adams, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, April 02, 2014, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 13, 1926, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Donald and Florence (Erne) Adams. Upon graduating from Northside High School, he began working for the United States Post Office, from which he retired after 38 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling. He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, JoAnne M. (Roffelsen) Adams; sons, Stephen A. (Linda) Adams Sr. of Fort Wayne, Mark T. Adams of Albion, IA., James E. (Pamela) Adams of Wabash, Ind., John M. (Molly) Adams of Fort Wayne, and Scott M. (Linda) Adams of Carmel, Ind.; daughters, Kathleen J. Kent of Grand Rapids, MI., Louise S. (Kevin) Ambrose of Fort Wayne, and Mary T. Thompson of Sioux Falls, SD.; as well as 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda M. (Richard) Bauer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 7, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 1 to 5 PM Sunday, April 6, with a Rosary Service at 4:30pm at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road.
