Dorothy M. Shuler

DOROTHY M. SHULER, 79, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital. Born April 26, 1933, in Jefferson County, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Harold Shuler and Marie (Louden) Shuler. She was a driver for Magnavox for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 82 and New Beginnings Church. Surviving are her son, Charles W. (LeighAnn) Hill of Davenport, Fla.; daughters, Eileen Byerley of Kendallville and MartyMarie (Phillip) Wass of Blue Lake - Churubusco; brothers, George Shuler and David Shuler, both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Ruth Carwright of Fort Wayne and Kathryn Gipple of Ashley, Ind.; life partner, Richard Michael; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with prayers at 8 p.m. Pastor Roger Abels officiating.
