E. Ralph Krohne
March 31, 1924 – March 12, 2018

E. Ralph Krohne passed away to his Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He then transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1955 where he served during Vietnam, retiring on August 1, 1967. Upon retirement, Ralph served in the U.S. Civil Service as a messenger with the U.S. Postal Service and retired again in November of 1977. He moved back to Fort Wayne in May of 1980. He went to work for the Waynedale United Methodist Church where he served 16 years. He left the church and went to work for the City of Fort Wayne Parks Department at McMillen Park Golf Course in 1996 for the summers and the McMillen Park Ice Arena in the winters, retiring for good in May of 2007. Ralph is survived by his son, Bruce E.(Joyce) Krohne of Florida; three daughters, Nancy Corsen of Idaho, Beth E. Kreider of North Carolina and Lark E.(Samuel) Skipworth of Florida; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46819), with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
