C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home
HAROLD REECE WIGGINS, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Born May 29, 1937, in Scott County, Tenn., he was a son of Charles Wiggins and Lona Kendrick. Harold was a disabled veteran and extremely proud to have been in the Air Force. Harold was a good ole country boy, proud of his Southern roots and enjoyed Southern cooking and country music. He played guitar in his younger days and especially liked Johnny Cash songs and "Bee Bop a Lula".
He loved his family and was a very generous person. While always regretting never having any children of his own, he became a father figure to many nieces and nephews and to generations of feline children: Chip, Boo, LT and Tom to name a few. He loved his home and working in his yard. He took great pleasure in watching the Cubs, Colts, and Tennessee Vols.
He is survived and mourned by his brothers, Herman and JC (June); sister, Linda (Greg) Peterson; nephew, BG (Lynn); and nieces, Darlene (Denzie), Deb (Mike), Teresa (Mark), and Kimberly. He also leaves behind numerous other nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews as well. He was loved and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed; mother, Lona; sisters, Imogene, Carolyn and Patsy; and brother, Fred.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at East Allen County Church of Christ, 3800 Minnich Road, New Haven (IN 46774), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2018, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. www.sloanandsonsfuneralhome.com
