HARRY F. SHARPIN, 91, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, 6:24 a.m., at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born Sept. 19, 1920, in Simsbury, Conn., he was the son of the late Harry F. Sharpin and Mary (Krol). He served in the Marine Corps and was a member of the First Group of Marine Seals. He was a Comptroller CPA at Azar's Restaurants, retiring in 1980. "Stay out of mischief dad." Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Carosella and Ann (Thomas R.) Havens, both of Fort Wayne, and Kathleen (Jack) Gensic of Columbia City; sister, Mary Bacco of Melbourne, Fla.; wife, Evelyn Isselee of Southberry, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Sunday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Rick Hawks officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside service is 1 p.m. Monday at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, Ohio. Preferred memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project.
