Jack Melvin Ade

Jack Melvin Ade, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was the son of Russell and Jeanette (McClintock) Ade of Huntington, IN. Jack served in the United States Air Force and received degrees from Indiana University and Ball State University, and was employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools for over 40 years. Jack lived every day as an adventure, and enriched the lives of those around him. He is survived by his wife, Sally; sons, John and Charles (Helen) Ade, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Patricia (Al) Hansen of Fort Wayne, Alicia Ade-Kuhn of Mechanicsville, MD, and Melissa (Darrell) Pollard of Fort White, FL; brother-in-law, Charles "Bud" Rogers; grandchildren, Amber Hansen, Skye Hansen, Lydia Ade, and Carly Ade of Fort Wayne, Jacob (Kara) Kuhn of West Lafayette, Autumn Pollard, Joshua Pollard and Hannah Pollard, all of Fort White, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Carol Rogers (formerly of Huntington). Memorial service is noon Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46819), with visitation two hours prior until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice and the Alzheimer's Foundation.
