MICHAEL A. CARNEY, 63, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born Friday, Dec. 3, 1954, of Indianapolis, Ind., George Carney and Edwina (Jarboe) Carney. Mike was a construction worker and he worked for Aramark for over 10 years. He was an over all handy man who took pride in his landscaping abilities. As a child he visited Canada yearly, camping and fishing he always talked about going back. He enjoyed spending time with grandkids, four wheeling and just being outside with them. He was truly involved with his family and loved family time. He was a great friend to a host of many friends. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Surviving are his former wife, Jennifer Carney; six children, Christian (Audrey) Carney of Fort Wayne, Natalie (Mike) DeVore of Hoagland, Ind., Danielle (Brian) Klotz of Huntington, Marisa (Brian) Lichtsinn of Hoagland, Ind., Mitchell (Shauna) Carney of Monroeville, Ind., and Genevieve (Travis Dudley) Carney of Houston, Texas; fiancé, Brenda Brock of Fort Wayne; sister, Cindy Roberson of Fort Wayne; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice; brother, Robert; and grandson, Leland. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Monsignor Bruce Piechocki officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. www.klaehnfahlmeltonfunerals.com
