Thomas F. “Tom” Magdich, 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013. He was born on November 8, 1940 to the late Kalman L. and Ruth (Fritze) Magdich. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1958-1961. He later worked and retired from International Harvester. He was active with the Flying Circuits. He enjoyed spending time building and flying model airplanes and in his garden, especially his roses and grape arbor. He was also interested in WW II German aircraft. Surviving family include his wife of 50 years, Christine Magdich; children, Michael and Mark Magdich, Martha (Paul) Kuras, Marla (Rocky) Stotts, Christopher Magdich; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; and brothers, Richard and James Magdich. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by a brother, Robert Magdich. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Avenue, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne. A rosary will be recited at 7:45 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
