Janet Y. Kemery

Janet Yvonne Kemery, age 83, of Stevensville, Michigan, formerly of Fremont, and Angola, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Crown Pointe Senior Living Community, Stevensville, Michigan. Janet was born on September 8, 1934 in Rockford, Ohio, the daughter of Gerald and Mary (Graham) Gecowets. She graduated from Angola High School in 1952. Janet formerly lived at Clear Lake, and also Niles, Michigan. She enjoyed volunteering for many organizations, and taught 4-H classes in Niles, Michigan. She was a music lover, and loved painting, and her family. Survivors include a son, Jeff (Janet) Bishop of Michigan, a daughter, Rhonda (Dale) Overman of Utah, a sister, Mary Jane Hess of Kentucky, and three brothers, George Gecowets of Indiana, Bob Gecowets of Indiana, and Dick (Richard) Gecowets of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kemery in 1993, her parents, a sister, Karen Appleman, and a brother, Stanley Gecowets. Following her wishes burial will be at Fremont Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. There will be no services.
